Base Structure and Insulation: The project began with the construction of a solid framework using dimensional lumber and plywood. In the areas where the grill is seated, cement backer board was installed to ensure heat resistance and the overall safety of the unit.

Panel Preparation and Cladding: A wood species with a highly attractive grain pattern was selected. The boards were milled and joined using a tongue-and-groove (or beadboard) style to create seamless, elegant panels that would serve as the sides and front of the cabinet.

Frame Assembly and Gluing: To ensure long-term durability and a seamless finish, solid frames were constructed around the panels. An intensive clamping system was used to join the side panels to the face frame, ensuring perfect glue curing and exactly square corners.

Custom Door Fabrication: Following the same design language as the cladding, three doors were built for the lower cabinets. These maintain the visual continuity of the vertical lines and framing, prepping them for seamless integration into the main structure.

Final Assembly and Finishing: The wood cladding was assembled over the base structure. Once the countertop was placed and the stainless steel grill was dropped in, the doors were installed using concealed hinges. The final touch was the addition of modern metal pulls and mounting the unit on heavy-duty locking casters, achieving a perfect balance between rustic-contemporary design and practicality.
